The Meeting Corner in downtown Fuquay-VarinaEnjoying a delicious authentic Puerto Rican lunch in downtown Fuquay-Varina at The Meeting Corner is a treat any day of the week! The Meeting Corner owner and chef, Edna Morales, serves a delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner for anyone looking for amazing food for all types of palates! She even has scrumptious vegetarian dishes.

The Meeting Corner in downtown Fuquay-VarinaAs you walk in Latin music is playing and the smell of fresh food transforms you to a small island cafe.  It’s the corner store that brings food, art and gifts together.  Come in and enjoy what we have to offer, you’ll be happy you walked in.

The Meeting Corner is located at 135 South Main Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC.

I love meeting friends for lunch or just enjoying a delicious warm meal by myself.  Every time I visit, I am free to select my own table and the servers are friendly and know what my “usual” is!  This community style restaurant has become my very own “Cheers“, where everyone knows your name! This warm and inviting restaurant and gift shop has become like a second home for me.

Edna offers cooking classes, salsa dancing parties, and co-hosts tea parties with Bobbie Asad owner of Mad Hatter also located in Fuquay-Varina.

Business Leader Cindy Clark with CC Transformational Coaching Loves Working With Her Clients

Cindy ClarkIntroducing Cindy Clark with CC Transformational Coaching.

1. Who do you work with?

I work mainly with women business owners and on occasion, will work with non-profits.

2. What is the most time consuming thing you do within your business?

The most time consuming thing I do is research. When I’m working with a client, I learn everything I can about them and their business so I can educate myself on how I can best serve them.

Cindy Clark with CC Transformational Coaching3. Who has had a big impact on you personally or professionally?

Personally, my husband is my biggest cheerleader. His support means the world to me! Professionally, I have many friends and colleagues that support me. Being in business for almost 15 years, I’ve met several wonderful, positive people who have (and continue to) support me. I wouldn’t be where I am without all of them.

One of my favorite sayings is: Everyone enters your life for a reason; we just need to have our eyes and heart open to see the lesson we can learn from them.

4. What advice would you give to someone thinking about starting their own business?

My advice would be (and has been): Keep your mind open to learning. Learn everything you can about what it is you want to do. Be absolutely clear on your purpose and your mission. Having a heart-centered business, you will always go far. Keep your mind focused on your mission and vision: Why did you start this business? Who do you want to serve? What do you want to provide for others? Surround yourself with positive, supportive people. Have faith and believe in yourself and your mission, no matter what.

Beverly Mahone is a Baby Boomer Published Author and Entrepreneur Rock Star

Beverly Mahone published author and entrepreneur rock starBeverly Mahone left the traditional television news industry in 2006 to pursue her passions of becoming a published author and an entrepreneur.  Since then she has published 4 books (working on a fifth).

Two of those books have become Amazon Best Sellers:  Whatever! A Baby Boomer’s Journey Into Middle Age and How to Get on the news Without Committing Murder.

Beverly decided to create her own media platform with a radio and TV show called The Boomer Beat.  She is now telling those “positive stories” that she always wanted to tell.  She has also formed a consulting business called BAMMedia.  The idea was to show small business owners and entrepreneurs what tools they needed in order to get more exposure in the public.

It didn’t quite work out the way she had planned so after seven years she decided to return to the workforce.  You can learn more about her NEW journey here:  BoomerWorld

Bottom line is:  She will still do her best to make a difference in the lives of others no matter where she is.

Beverly Mahone is a woman of true virtue, value and honor. I have had the honor of knowing Beverly for many years and she never stops to amaze me how amazing and wonderful she can be!

Naomi Riley Historic Downtown Enthusiasts Launches New Business Serving Up The Polished Table

Naomi Riley founder of the Polished TableThe Polished Table was launched as a result of founder, Naomi Riley’s commitment to community and love for entertaining in unique and colorful ways.

Experienced in large scale and small-scale dinner party planning, Naomi understands the stress of pulling everything together to have a memorable evening with friends. She also understands that what was “in style” when we all got married, might be a stretch today and yet we don’t want to purchase an entire new tabletop because, well we all know …. In ten years, they will be cabinet clutter too!

Naomi Riley founder of the Polished TableWhile leaving a rental company preparing for a large fundraising event, the aha moment arrived. “A picture”.
People really don’t want or don’t have the time to go pick from 100 plates on a wall, then head to the flatware. All they really want is “a picture”.

Bringing together Naomi’s strong passion for growing relationships and communities, her event planning experience and her natural desire to make life easier The Polished Table hopes that people will plan time each month to gather with friends in the coziest of spaces … Home.

One less stress just fell into place for you. A tabletop where you can enjoy new dishes, glassware, linens, flowers, etc. all with “a picture” included.
